Dictionary of inclusive language

Language is a carrier of thought, of culture, it's a basis of communication. It influences our thoughts and actions. If we want to build a society that's open to diversity and accepting of otherness, our language needs to be inclusive as well.

Although we focus mostly on gender and sexuality issues on this website, inclusive language is much more than just that. Below we work as a community to create a list of phrases that should be avoided, including an explanation of why and what they could be replaced with.
